I don’t understand society today. I feel like I’ve traveled here from the 1940s or something, when it comes to this subject. So I ask you this…

How in the world can one judge a person and assume to know their personality, morals, goals, and lifestyle by looking at pictures of them or reading a few words they typed here and there?

All I am looking for is an answer. I am aware of what some people say about me. I’m sure those of you who are reading this are aware as well… but let’s just lay it out. Here are the rumors (all completely false) that I have heard that some people say about me:

1. Apparently I have cheated or do cheat on my boyfriend.
2. Apparently I dated Jack.
3. Apparently I cheated on Jack with Alex.
4. Apparently I was pregnant.
5. Apparently I am engaged.
6. Apparently Alex asked me to marry him and I said no… twice?
7. Apparently I am after his money.
8. Apparently I have STDs.
9. Apparently I am a slut.
10. Apparently I am a bitch.
11. Apparently I am a bad person.
12. Apparently I am fat.
13. Apparently I am stupid.
14. Apparently I use people I know in order to gain popularity or  so-called “fame”.

I laugh at all of these because every one of these statements is SO far from the truth that if the people who spread these rumors actually knew me, they would laugh. No matter if you say nice things or mean things, the fact of life here, is that if you haven’t spent time with a person, you really don’t know them. More than you know, I appreciate the genuine nice messages that I receive. I truly mean that, and to each of you who have ever said something nice to me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And to those of you who have bad impressions of me, I assure you, I promise you, I am not what you think. I never asked for any kind of attention in any way. I don’t care if you follow me or not… I appreciate it if you do, of course, but if you didn’t, I wouldn’t even know… because I shouldn’t and I don’t expect attention just because of my circumstances. If I want people to know me, I will want them to know me for my own talents, not for someone else’s.

I know we all judged people before knowing them from time to time, while growing up. I understand that. I remember how it was in high school (or middle school), when you could look at a pretty girl and say “She looks like a bitch!”… Nobody is innocent. We have ALL passed judgement on others without thinking… “Maybe she’s having a bad day, and that’s why she isn’t smiling. Maybe she isn’t feeling well. Maybe she just has a resting face that isn’t the most pleasant looking. Maybe one of her friends or family members just died. Maybe she has a problem with depression or bipolar disorder. Maybe she just got into an argument with her parents. Maybe she’s tired.” I’m not sure why society doesn’t go through the unending list before passing judgement and assuming this person is really a bitch. We all have our bad days. No person can possibly smile 24/7. I try my hardest to smile often. I am a very very very happy person. I appreciate everything and everyone in my life as well as all of my adventures. I love living life. It’s as simple as that. But if I smiled 24/7, my cheeks would hurt really bad. Don’t you think? Haha .. :) So, in short. I apologize if you have the wrong impression of me. I assure you that if we were buds, you would realize that I am not who you think. I hope that this clears the rumors up. They’re pretty funny, but false, nonetheless. I’m really not sure on what grounds these rumors start, as there is no truth to them. Your friend’s friend’s mother’s ex husband’s brother’s cousin’s cat does not actually know my personality, morals, or life choices. Try not to fall for false rumors covered in sugar. Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see… I heard that somewhere.
